My Poor Brain

It is currently 2:20 AM, I haven’t been up this late in a long time. But there’s this energy I’ve got going that I don’t want to put to sleep. This positive awesome crazy feeling that I can’t just let go. So I’m keeping it up until my responsible side kicks in and tells me to quit.

Music has been the main force behind the arousal of this feeling. Specifically Jimmy Eat World’s songs Big Casino and The Middle. I got a live concert that they had professionally recorded a month ago and it is awesome. Big Casino is off of their newest album and it is one of my favorite songs of all time (for the time being).

I thought for years and years that the song The Middle said:

It just takes some time
Little brother in the middle

Me being a middle child and being the odd one out of my brothers, I loved this song and it totally connected with me(and no doubt every other teenager). Only to find out that the lyrics REALLY said:

It just takes some time
Little girl you’re in the middle

I still pretend it’s what I want to hear, and that’s all that counts really.

What else is keeping me up with this energy…I think I’m gonna keep it to myself until further developments. If all goes well then you, my one and only reader, will know immediately. I also decided that, since music gives me this fucking crazy energy every once in a while. It’s time to blow that savings money I had set aside for…saving…on this great guitar I’ve got my eyes set on. Along with a little credit card debt on the side I should be good and ready to get me going.

What I think YOU can take out of this is, find that thing that just makes you wish the feeling never ends and blow your life savings on it because you only live once. Okay, okay be a LITTLE responsible about it but don’t let it go. Do what you want to do and fuck everybody else who tells you otherwise. I love music, I’ll make it my whole life. Join me?
